Professional disc jockey Oluwaforijimi Adewale Amu better known as DJ Jimmy Jatt, has revealed that he underwent a successful kidney transplant right in Nigeria. The legendary DJ and music executive who managed to keep his condition away from the public, revealed that he had the surgery exactly six months ago after he was diagnosed with a kidney disease. He released a series of photos with the caption "6 Months Post Transplant" across his social media platforms.
DJ Jimmy Jatt further revealed that the transplant took place at the Zenith Medical and Kidney Center, Abuja. The veteran disc jockey added that he was impressed with the quality of treatment he received at the medical centre. He stated, “I am impressed with what I got here. I submitted my whole life, and they took care of it.” DJ Jimmy Jatt's revelation took fans and followers by surprise as no one had been aware of his health struggles.
DJ Jimmy Jatt, is a Nigerian disc jockey who is revered as one of the pioneering hip hop DJs in Nigeria. He started out his music career as a rapper under the sobriquet Master J but delved into DJing after his failure at getting signed by a record label despite releasing a handful of songs including a demo recording. He is best known for his Jimmy's Jump Off concert, an event he started in 2008 and that has become one of the most attended entertainment events in Nigeria.
