Popular activist, Aisha Yesufu has informed Peter Obi's supporters not to think that she is on same page with them. The activist who has been one of the popular Nigerians canvassing support for Mr Peter Obi, made the statement through her Twitter handle.
Aisha Yesufu who was reacting to a remark made by a zealot supporter of Mr. Peter Obi, stated that her loyalty is not to any public office holder but to Nigeria.
She said despite her unflinching support for Mr. Peter Obi that she will be one of his foremost critics if eventually he is elected Nigeria's president in 2023.
"Don't go thinking you and I are on the same side. No, we are not. I am for Nigeria and any person that is seeking to be voted or has been voted i will hold accountable and criticize. End of discussion!" She wrote.
"Just so we are clear, my number one job is to criticize Peter Obi's @Peter Obi every move that needs to be criticized. The second is to support him to win election.My loyalty is to Nigeria not Peter Obi. I just need someone that can work for Nigeria. Don't get it mixed up!"
Mr. Peter Obi who is currently touring the United States of America ahead of the Nigeria's 2023 elections, enjoys immense support from Nigerians across religious and ethnic divides.
