In the top news of today, FC Barcelona's game at home to Elche, the sixth of the league campaign, has been confirmed for Saturday 17 September. The match will start at 4.15pm CEST at the Spotify Camp Nou.

The game follows on from a road trip to face Cádiz at the Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla, and then will be followed by a trip to the Balearic islands to take on RCD Mallorca.

It was way back in 1974/75 that Barça last lost to Elche. In fact, Barça has not even conceded a goal to the side from Alicante in 12 league and cup encounters until the two games last season. Elche scored three times in those games, but Barça still ended up winning them, 3-2 and 2-1.
