Popular on-air personality and talk show host, Ifedayo Olarinde, better known as Daddy Freeze, has allegedly married his secret lover, identified as Benedicta Elechi. The ceremony reportedly took place in the United Kingdom and was attended by a small circle of the couple's friends including the groom's mother, Smaranda Olarinde.
The news of the OAP's marriage comes as a surprise to many as he is currently battling a 5 million naira adultery lawsuit. Daddy Freeze was ordered by a High Court in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, to pay the sum of 5 million naira as compensation to Paul Odekina, former husband of Benedicta Elechi. Mr Odekina had instigated a suit against Daddy Freeze and his ex-wife for having an affair while Benedicta had still been married to her ex-husband. The court ruled in favour of the plaintiff. Benedicta and Paul Odekina have three children together while she has a son, with her current husband, Daddy Freeze. Daddy Freeze was also previously married to Opeyemi Olarinde, with whom he has two children

Ifedayo Olarinde was born in Cluj-Napoca, Romania to a Nigerian father and a Romanian mother. He spent most of his early years in Ibadan, Oyo State where he attended the International School, and has a degree in Sociology from the University of Ibadan. He is from Oyan Town in Odo Otin local government area of Osun State. Until 2020, Daddy Freeze was a senior broadcaster at Cool FM Lagos .In 2017, Daddy Freeze started the Free Nation Online Church where he pastors with Sunday and weekday services. His sermons are mostly designed to attack scriptural quotes and popular religious doctrines and leaders.
