Governor of Abia state, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has commissioned a flyover bridge in Osisoma. Construction of the flyover bridge reportedly commenced in the year 2017 and took the government of the state, 5 years to complete. In a tweet, Governor Ikpeazu stated his feelings concerning his latest project. He described it as “a premier flyover” while declaring that he felt “a personal sense of fulfillment” about delivering the bridge to residents of Abia state. The bridge now named the "Okezuo Abia Flyover" was inaugurated by Rivers state governor, Nyesom Wike on Monday, 5 September, 2022.
Despite the governor's pride in his achievement, the good people of Abia state have lashed out at the politician and declared the flyover's completion "a shameful thing to celebrate". Many compared Ikpeazu to David Umahi, Governor of Ebonyi state who had reportedly commissioned about 23 flyovers in the 5 years it took Dr Ikpeazu to complete one.

The harsh reception of the news of the flyover's commissioning extended to Twitter as Nigerians took to the platform to express the displeasure at the governor's pride in such "a shameful achievement".
