 The vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Yesufu Datti Baba-Ahmed has made some weighty allegation against president Muhammadu Buhari on Channels Tv.

Yesufu Datti, in strong terms, described president Muhammadu Buhari as a tragedy to Nigeria, referring to to his democratic government as well as his military regime.

While narrating his sojourn in president Muhammadu Buhari's defunct Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) which metamorphosed into the All Progressive Congress (APC) in 2014, Yesufu Datti told Channels Tv that he was influenced to join the CPC by powerful elites of the northern Kaduna.

He further revealed that he became wary of president Muhammadu Buhari because of his extreme views and religious bigotry. According to him, Buhari advised his supporters and members of the CPC to attack whomever attempted to manipulate the 2023 general elections.

He added that despite his being in Buhari's CPC that he had never visited him or been a fan of his ideology.
