The Popularity of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party online is unquestionable. However, many have asked whether such immense support online will transcend to electoral votes in the 2023 presidential election.
Polls online show that Peter Obi is leading other presidential candidates for the 2023 presidential election; his critics have described him as a social media presidential candidate; noting that he will come distant third, behind Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the People's Democratic Party, and Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu of the All Progressive Congress (APC).
Interestingly, during a radio interview, Mr. Peter Obi was asked this question which he had severally answered in his previous interviews; tired of answering such a question, he enquired where the interviewer came from and urged him to go and carry out his popularity test in his major cities.
He further described the speculation that he is only popular on social media as tactics by his opponents to dampen the morale of Nigerians who truly desire a positive change.
