Uduak Akpan, convicted killer of Iniobong Umoren who was sentenced to death by hanging by an Uyo High Court on Thursday 4th August 2022, attempted to escape the courtroom after he was sentenced. He was sentenced to death by hanging for the brutal murder of Iniobong Umoren on 29th April 2022. It was also alleged that the had harvested some of the victim's body parts.
In a short video, the convicted killer, Uduak Akpan, was seen trying to escape the courtroom shortly after he was sentenced. He was however restrained and shoved into a black Maria by correction officers and armed officers present at the scene.
