On Friday 19 August, 2022, the candlelight service for late Ada Ameh aka Emu Akpor took place at the Freedom Park. The sad event of the Nollywood star's demise took place on 17th July, 2022 in Warri, Delta state. The late actress had disclosed in her last interview with the ladies of Your View on TVC, that she had been battling depression for a long time.

The candlelight service was attended by a number of celebrities. Nollywood actor Charles Inojie who played Ada Ameh's on-screen husband in the family series, The Johnsons seemed to be the coordinator of the event. The cast of The Johnsons also held a special night of tributes in honour of the late actress who was known for role as Emu Akpor in the family series. May Ada Ameh's dearly beloved soul keep resting.
