Former President Olusegun Obasanjo had during his meeting with Bola Ahmed Tinubu last week, noted that he felt surprised that the People's Democratic Party (PDP) gave it presidential ticket to a northern.
Obasanjo revealed that he was at a meeting where some notable Nigerians across the six geographical zones agreed that president Muhammadu Buhari's successor must come from Southern Nigeria.
Former President Olusegun Obasanjo who is understood to be supporting the presidential bid of Peter Obi, today, met with Nyesom Wike, Okezie Ikpeazu, and Seyi Makinde in London. The meeting is suspected to be about Peter Obi's presidential ambition and conspiracy against Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC); and Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the PDP who has been at loggerhead with Nyesom Wike of Rivers State.
However, no official statement has been issued in respect to the said meeting of the Prominent Nigerians in London.

Meanwhile, Peter Obi had announced earlier today that he will be meeting some Nigerians in Germany while he en route the United States of America where he will be making several public appearances as guest speaker in conferences including in the reputable Columbia University.
