In a video seen on the internet, members of Christ Embassy church, Odili road Port Harcourt, Rivers state petitioned the EFCC to make an arrest of all church pastors involved in the scheme. Christian Agadaga, spokesperson for the church members indicated that the victims of the fraud had a five point agenda list. First of which was the arrest of pastors of the church who perpetrated and encouraged the fraudulent scheme. The spokesperson also claimed that CEO of MBA Forex Maxwell Odum, had a strong connection to the church and was a member. It might also be recalled that in April 2019, Christ Embassy sent public birthday felicitations his way.

Maxwell Odum who is currently at large, is wanted by the EFCC for allegedly defrauding victims of $518.3 million dollars. MBA Forex was in operation for four years before the company went bankrupt in 2020. The company also claimed to have registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
