The vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Yesufu Datti Baba-Ahmed has through his official Twitter handle, accused Nigeria's movie industry of ineptitude.
The vice presidential candidate of the Labour Party who came to public limelight since he was nominated as Peter Obi's running mate for the 2023 presidential election, argued that Nollywood script writers have been unable to satirize how Bola Ahmed Tinubu has been sapping the resources of Lagos State since 1999.
"Nollywood script writers are not doing enough work, I mean how can none of them think of writing on how Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his family pocketed Lagos wealth, a whole Lagos!!!" He wrote.
Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was a governor of Lagos State from 1999 to 2007 has remained the political lord of the state. He has since the end of his tenure in 2007, determined who emerged the governor of the state as well as those who represent the state in the national Assembly.
Bola Tinubu's Influence politically has expanded beyond Lagos State to other southwestern state of the Federation. Recall that the current governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola is said to be Tinubu's cousin. Recall also that Tinubu himself had publicly disclosed how he facilitated the election of Ogun state governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun in 2019.

Hence, Yesufu Datti believes that the Nollywood should be satirizing such untamed and interrupted dominance by Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
