On Saturday 27 August 2022, popular Nollywood actress Ebele Okaro Onyuike took to her social media platforms to announce the death of her mother. The Nollywood star tweeted :"MY BEAUTIFUL MOTHER, MENTOR, TWIN SISTER AND GUARDIAN IS GONE. MAY HER GENTLE, BEAUTIFUL SOUL REST IN PERFECT PEACE."

Ebele Okaro Onyuike who hails from Anambra state, has become known as the "Mama of Nollywood'' as a result of her regular motherly roles in films. She is also a film producer and the CEO of Flat Feet Productions Ltd. Her Late mother was a television producer. It was common knowledge that the mother and daughter shared a striking resemblance as well as a close-knit relationship.
