A Nigerian woman has been arrested after she allegedly tried to smuggle drugs valued at Rs. 15,10,000, to Goa.
The 27-year old woman tried to conceal the consignment in her sandals and has been arrested by police in India.
Nidhin Valsan, a Superintendent of Police (SP), who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, August 21, said the accused, Damilola Janet Odula, was nabbed after the police received a tip off on the consignment of drugs.
“The accused, carrying the drugs, had arrived from Delhi by Goa Express train. MDMA weighing 151 grams was recovered from her possession and seized.” Valsan said.
A case has been registered against her, he added.
