An elder and community leader, Dr. Bashir Kurfi revealed how bandits turned hapless citizens of the state into slaves.
Dr. Kurfi while speaking to BBC Hausa averred that the terrorist gang occupied people’s homes in many villages, forcing its inhabitants to live in makeshifts and work on farms taken over by the bandits to produce food for the terrorists. He also alleged that the daredevil criminals took turns to serially rape women and girls.
To back up his claim, Dr. Kurfi cited one incident where he
witnessed 40 bandits gang-raping
nine women for a whole night. He revealed that he was the one who took
the victims to the Federal Medical Centre.
According to him, when doctors at the FMC checked the victims, they advised
that they should be taken to a Urology Hospital (which treats urinary-tract
system) because the damage done was beyond the capacity of an FMC.
