Gospel singer and minister Mercy Chinwo is now legally hitched to her partner, pastor Blessed Uzochikwa. The civil ceremony took place on 4th August, 2022 at the Ministry of Interiors, in Lagos. The couple took to their Instagram pages to share the beautiful photos. Their engagement ceremony took place on 18 July, 2022 in Port Harcourt, Rivers state, the singer's state of origin.

Mercy Chinwo won the Nigerian Idol season 2 in the year 2012 and released her first single "Testimony" in 2015. Her husband Pastor Blessed Uzochikwa is the resident pastor at WaterBrook church, Lagos. Singer and politician Bankole Wellington AKA Banky W, is also a preacher at the church.
