The unveiling of the All Progressive Congress (APC) vice presidential candidate for the 2023 presidential election raised the eyebrows of many following the category of men who disguised as bishops to the event.
Kashim Shettima, a former governor of Borno state and a Muslim, emerged the running mate of Bola Ahmed Tinubu who is also a Muslim. Since Nigeria's return to democracy in 1999, the major political parties have always reflected the religious diversity of the country by flying a Christian-muslim ticket.
Hence, APC'S choice of a Muslim-muslim ticket attracted huge public criticism as the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) publicly described the act as insensitivity to Nigeria's religious diversity and blatant disregard against Christians in Nigeria.
Consequently, in a bid to change the narrative that the Christians in Nigeria are fully against the APC'S Muslim-muslim ticket, men who have now be proven to be fake bishops, dressed in fake bishop garbs to attend the APC's unveiling of Kashim Shettima as Bola Tinubu's running mate.
