Video: Fear As Fulani Bandit Captured In Ekiti State, Makes Shocking Confession

Fulani bandits, Fulani herdsmen  are reoccurring names in prints and on electronic media often preceding terror attacks, banditry, and commonly, kidnapping.

The Owo Catholic church attack a few weeks ago was the most notable recent manifestation of this ugly trend in the southwest region of Nigeria but not the penultimate as the attached video suggests.

Regrettably, herdsmen of Fulani origin have ceased to be mere nomads seeking greener pastures for their herds; arguably, it suggests in the hearts of Southern Nigerians that they are disguised bandits, terrorists or kidnappers seeking preys.

This is not different from the tale of this Katsina State born suspected kidnapper who was captured in Ekiti after a failed kidnapping attempt.

He as well as his gang has been successful in previous operations, three he said, which yielded outrageous amount for them; undoubtedly a flourishing business it has become: kidnapping.

However, shocking is his confession that he and likely his seven other members of his kidnapping gang had migrated from the far northern of Nigeria to Ekiti for the lucrative illegitimate business of kidnapping.

A fault of no one but the wobbly legs and unseeing eyes of the Nigerian security architecture.
