Updated: Two Confirmed Dead In Oko-Agege Lagos Car Flood

 

The social space was rife with the story of the Oko-Agege flood that swept a Jeep and it's occupants away.

Recall that ExolaTV reported the flood which submerged the car had people making frantic efforts to rescue the occupants from the mishap yesterday.

Even though about 4 people were rescued alive, two people unfortunately lost their lives.

This is not the first time the Nation's commercial capital will be enmeshed in flooding tragedies that has claimed many lives and destroyed properties, the question is; when will the govt rise to the occasions? This type of flood is menial compared to the types that results in the lost of lives in other nations of the world, but due to the lack of drainage system and lack of government presents in terms of facilities both in health care and good road network, two lives were lost.

Speaking to everyone in the environ of the sad event, everyone suggestion was summarised to "The Lagos Government should understand the peculiarities of the State and swing into action to forestall other occurrences as we are still in the rainy season.
