The governor of Osun State, Adegboyega Oyetola has now spoken on the just concluded Osun state governorship election in which the opposition party, PDP won at his expense and sought for reelection.
According to him, the People's Democratic Party's victory at the governorship election was preceded by lies and propaganda against his administration.
Governor Oyetola who spoke through his chief press secretary, Ismail Omipidan while being interviewed on a radio station in Osogbo, alleged that senator Isiaka Adeleke, the eventual winner of the governorship election lied to the Osun state civil servants and pensioners over unpaid salaries and pension arrears by the Oyetola's administration.
He added that Governor Oyetola was able to do enough in terms of salary payment despite the little allocation he got from the Federal Government.
"They lied to the civil servants about issues relating to pensions and unpaid salaries", he said.
The governor's spokesperson further alleged electoral malpractice in the Osun state governorship election. He claims that at some polling centres across the state that voting was allowed to continue till 9pm. He added that he has video evidence of his allegation.
"It was also brought to our attention that in some polling units in Owode-Ede, people were still observed voting till about 9pm on Saturday. We have video evidence of this".

He explained that governor Oyetola is yet to accept defeat in the governorship election and still studying the outcome of the election.
