On Friday 22 July, 2022, photos of Nollywood veterans paying a courtesy visit to APC's presidential aspirant Bola Ahmed Tinubu and vice-presidential running mate, Kashim Shettima, were posted on Tinubu's official Instagram account. Some of the veterans present in the photos are: Zack Orji, Saheed Balogun, Benedict Johnson and singer, Brymo. Zack Orji was reportedly the leader of the visiting group.
The photos have attracted widespread annoyance and mockery from Nigerians. Many mockingly stated that "Since hiring Bishops failed, the APC moved on to buying or renting celebrities". The visiting celebrities also received heavy doses of criticisms from fans. Some of them lost a significant number of followers across their social media platforms as soon as the photos surfaced on the internet.
