President Muhammadu Buhari presided over The National Security meeting at the state house in Abuja on Thursday 21st July, 2022 to discuss the strategies that can be implemented to curb terrorism in Nigeria. The meeting had The attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola and Minister of Police Affairs, Maigari Dingyadi in attendance amongst others.
After the meeting, the State House Correspondents were addressed by Abubakar Salami who stated that investigation is currently ongoing on the Kuje prison attack which occurred on July 5, 2022. Salami added that the Federal government is considering banning motorcycles and mining activities in the country as part of its strategy to curb terrorist activities.
