Busted: Phone Conversation Between Police Officers And Boko Haram Terrorist Kuje Prison Escapees Intercepted; Details


An unconfirmed reports claims that a phone conversation between an  unnamed police officer of the Nigeria Police Force and  suspected Boko Haram terrorist who recently escaped from Kuje prison during Tuesday terror attack on the Kuje prison facility, was intercepted.

The unnamed source who is described as within the nation’s intelligence and security circles, claimed that the suspected police officer was in a phone call conversation with one of the terrorists who escaped from Kuje recently. According to reports, while being questioned and investigated to ascertain level of complicity, another police officer was indicted.

The source further reveals that the two suspects have been arrested and further investigation ongoing.

"Two police operatives have been arrested after their communication with some of the escapees was intercepted.

"Two of the terrorists that escaped called a police investigation officer (IPO) in one of the stations and spoke to him in a compromising manner. They are now being investigated to know their level of complicity.”

The Senate President, Ahmad Lawal had in his reaction to the terror attack on Kuje prison, alleged that there might be a powerful insider who is sabotaging the security efforts of the nation.

He alleged that an attack on the prison facility was only possible through collaboration with some insiders who have compromised the security system.
