“You’re a man, you’re a man. Don’t jump. Your future is bright, don’t jump. Your future is very bright", were the life-saving words from a female officer of the Lekki Concession Company to a young Nigerian man who attempted taking his own life by jumping into the Lagoon in Lagos.
The incident is said to have happened on Wednesday, 1st of June, 2022.
The man whose identity is yet to be made public,was rescued by patrol team of the Lekki Concession Company (LCC) while he attempted jumping into the Lagos lagoon from the Lekki-Ikoyi link bridge.

The young man has been handed over to the police who intend to identify why he had made such a suicidal attempt.
