The governor of Edo state, Godwin Obaseki has taken a slight dig at the People's Democratic Party (PDP) over their dismal outing in the recently conducted Ekiti state gubernatorial election which saw the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) coasting to victory while the PDP came third, behind the Segun Oni's Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Governor Obaseki while speaking to the party stakeholders, noted that the majority of Nigerians are no longer interested in the APC nor PDP. He said that their is a new Political wave in Nigeria; referring to the Peter Obi's increasing popularity and presidential ambition under the Labour party.

He further urged the party leadership look inwardly and reposition the party so that it will become a formidable force it was.
