Veteran Nollywood actor, Pete Edochie in his reaction to the testimony by Prelate of Methodist Church of Nigeria, His eminence Samuel Kanu-Uche who was kidnapped along the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway way, extolled Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.
The clergy who spoke in Lagos after his release by his kidnappers, revealed that his church paid 100 million Naira ransom to his kidnappers for his release. He further disclosed that his kidnappers were eight-man Fulani gang who spoke and understood only Fulfulde. He said only one of the eight-man gang understood English language. According to him, he was showed the decomposing bodies of their previous victims whom they murdered.
The priest further claimed that the Fulani kidnappers revealed that they would procure arms and ammunition with the paid ransom and will subsequently overrun the Igbo land afterwards.
Reacting to the revelation, Pete Edochie appealed to the Nigerian government to intensify its effort towards curtailing insecurity in the country.
He added that he has so much respect for the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu. Pete Edochie is understood to have mentioned Mazi Nnamdi Kanu because of Kanu's several warnings in the past that the Fulani bandits would invade the Igbo land.
