A 24-year-old woman from India is set to do the unthinkable: marry herself and go on a two-week honeymoon after that.

Kshama Bindu according to reports will get wedded to herself on June 11th and would be the first Indian sologamist.

The wedding which is unprecedented and one of a kind is expected to be performed in traditional style, including pheras, sindoor, alongside other rituals just like conventional Indian weddings.

Bindu while speaking about her anticipated wedding she said: “Ever since my teens, I never wanted to get married. The tradition, somehow, never appealed to me. But I did want to become a bride. So I decided to marry myself. It’s called Sologamy.”

Daily Mail reports that the uncommon wedding ceremony will be attended by her family and friends with Bindu positing that the marriage will be a deep act of self-acceptance and that she will dedicate herself to a life of self-love, before taking herself for a two-week honeymoon.
