Pictures: Borno Man Arrested For Connecting 21 Heavy Duty Freezers To Streetlight Generator For 7 Months To Power Ice Block Company

 A man in Borno has been nabbed and arrested by the Police for engaging in acts capable of undermining public facilities after the streetlights power generator in his area continually had problems.

The man had reportedly illegally connected his 21 heavy-duty Refrigerator Freezers to the generator that powered the street lights in his area, an action that is capable of damaging the power generating plant.

It was gathered that he was tapping from the generator light for 7 months discreetly without the knowledge of his neighbors and those around the area. It was when the generator started developing constant faults that the technician assigned to fix it found an extra power zapping cable.

Also, the building he built his ‘Ice block’ center was found to have encroached on government land and it was hence demolished.
