Just Like Justin Bieber, Nigeria Singer, Tems Cancels All Her Music Shows Over Illness. Nature of Disease Revealed

Popular Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi better known as Tems, has cancelled all her shows over an ailment.

The news comes a few days after Canadian music superstar, Justin Bieber was diagnosed with ramsay hunt syndrome; a health condition that causes facial paralysis. The singer in a video announced his decision to take a break from the music industry as he endeavours to recover from the illness.

Tems created fear in the hearts of Nigerians and her fans across the world when she announced that she has been diagnosed with Reflux Laryngitis; an illness that negatively affects the voice. Reflux Laryngitis is described by Mountsinai.org as " Reflux laryngitis is an irritation in the back of the throat due to acid or other chemicals that come up from your stomach".

While announcing the development, Tems said: "I’m not feeling too good at the moment. After my last performance, I was diagnosed with Reflux Laryngitis and I have to take some time off to protect what’s left of my voice.

“On doctor’s advise, I’ve postponed the two shows this week, the Birmingham show on the 15th of June (It’s tomorrow, yeah I know) and the first London show on the 17th of July.
