With Tinubu polling 1271 votes to emerge the Presidential candidate of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), there appears to be a controversy over a purported text message allegedly sent by a former Imo Governor, Rochas Okorocha to delegates.
In the text message, Okorocha was alleged to have warned the delegates against voting for sick thieves while noting that 500 million was paid to each of the aspirants that stepped down.

The text also alleged that Tinubu attempted to do same to the Northern Governors but they refused.

“Dear Delegates, Don’t vote for sick thieves who will use a bullion van to carry our money home. Collect their money & vote your conscience. Rochas Okorocha
“He bought forms for all those who stepped down for him & paid dem N500m each too. He also offered Northen Govs same but dey refused. Stolen moni vote wisely.”
