Drama As Relatives Of Murdered Pregnant Woman Drag Suspect With Police As They Ask To Deal With Him Themselves -- It Was Because I Smoked, Suspect Confesses To Crime

There was drama as relatives of a murder victim and the Police got into a standoff over who gets to administer justice on a murder suspect.

The suspected killer nabbed today by locals after he allegedly killed a pregnant woman at No. 4  Nekede Old Road in Imo State, was about to be lynched by the mob but police from Ihiagwa division intervened, preventing jungle justice.

The suspect who was injured from the beating, confessed to the crime, blaming his actions on what he smoked.

The accused was later seen being led out to a police van, but the angry relatives of the deceased from Ohaji Egbema refused to allow the police take the suspect. 

They wanted the police to release the suspect to them so they can deal with him as they deem fit for killing their relative.

One members of the community said the suspect is one of the convicts who escaped during the Imo prison break.
