United States of America President, Joe Biden fell off his bike during a ride in Rehoboth Beach, Del., on Saturday morning, an incident that startled the crowd gathering nearby, but was fortunate enough not to get injured during the spill.
The US Chief Executive according to reports had stopped to greet a group of supporters he saw during his ride before taking the fall, with a reporter at the scene quoting him saying “I’m good” when asked if he was OK.
In video footage shown in the link above, Biden was seen being swarmed by Secret Service agents after the fall, with him later standing up, stopping to chat with members of the crowd, who wished him a “happy Father’s Day” and who were apparently eager to meet his dog, Commander.
The US President in his reaction told newsmen that he was having trouble taking his sneakers out of the “toe cages” on the pedals he was strapped into.
A White House official while reacting to the incident said:
“No medical attention is needed,”
“The president looks forward to spending the rest of the day with his family.”
