Noble Laureate and professor of comparative Literature, Wole Soyinka visited foremost Yoruba nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo Igboho in Cotonou, Benin Republic on Sunday, May 1st, 2022.
The professor was spotted at Seme border while he completed his entry requirements to the country where Sunday Igboho has remained since his release from the Beninese prison.
Professor Wole Soyinka was mobbed by the crowd at the Seme border who inquired about his movement. In his response, he stated that he was visiting Sunday Igboho to break Muslim fast with him. He was then reminded that neither him nor Igboho is a Muslim. He then noted that "the Ramadan is as good as any other season to express non-denominational solidarity".

Recall that on 19th of July, 2021, Sunday Igboho alongside with his wife, Ropo was arrested at Cadjèhoun Airport in Cotonou by the Beninese police on their way to Germany. His wife was later released while Igboho was remanded over immigration related offenses.
