Governor Nyesom Wike's Shocking Response To Peter Obi's Resignation From PDP

The governor of Rivers State and forefront presidential aspirant, Nyesom Wike has reacted to the former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi leaving the People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Peter had in a letter to the state's and national leadership of the party, announced his decision to quit his membership over alleged lack of transparency in the party's leadership especially in the conduct of its Primary elections.

Interestingly, Governor Wike who spoke to the Channels Television, accused Peter Obi of lacking integrity and political prowess to win the PDP'S presidential primary election. He ridiculed Obi's style of convincing the party's delegates to vote for him. The governor added that Peter Obi left PDP because he knows he can not clinch the party's presidential ticket.

“Peter Obi leaving the party is not surprising to me. He knows that there is no way he would have won the presidential primaries. Forget about what Doyin Okuope said about sharing money.

“How can someone who has gone to almost all the states telling them about how he is a trader and how he wore one shoe and does not allow people carry his bag leave a party three days to the primaries?" He said.
