Breaking: A New Case Of Blasphemy In Maiduguri, Borno State: "Release Her To Us, We Must Give Her Deborah Samuel's Treatment" Muslim Youths Tell Police

A lady whose name is given as Naomi Goni has been declared wanted by some angry Muslim youths in Maiduguri, Borno State over her alleged Facebook post critical of Prophet Muhammad and considered blasphemous.

Consequently, Naomi Goni has been arrested and kept in custody of the Borno state police command as the irate youths persist that she be released to them so that Deborah Samuel's treatment will be given to her.

The murder of Deborah Samuel, a student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, killed gruesomely by her fellow students over her adjourned blasphemous WhatsApp voice note, has been haunting the Nigerian nation and brought the topic of religious tolerance and diversity of Nigerians to limelight once more.

Despite the international and local negative reactions that trailed the manner in which Deborah Samuel was murdered, it appears that the incident is set to be repeated just a few days after.

  2. Why is it that this law of blasphemy is always affecting only women in Nigeria? Because since this whole thing started it's only about women, I've never heard of a man been punished for blasphemy, is it that the law is just being biased ?
