Former Presidential aide, Reno Omokri has bared his mind on the observance of Sunday as the day of Sabbath for Christians.
The #RenosNuggets initiator on his social media handles opined that as against the widely accepted notion that Saturday was abolished as the Sabbath day and replaced with Sunday, there was no scriptural backing to that effect and as such, the last day of the week, Saturday is the original day of Sabbath.

According to him, Jesus Christ or any of his disciples did not at any time abolish the Sabbath day as God established in the book of Genesis.
He wrote:
“Sunday is not a special day
Sunday is not a Christian day
Sunday is not a holy day
Christ did not go to the Synagogue on Sunday
Christ regularly went to the Synagogue on the Sabbath Day as lifetime
custom-Luke 4:16
Sunday is not different from Monday to Friday
The only day that God set aside as holy, is the Sabbath Day, and it is
not Sunday.
“Neither Christ, or His disciples, or the New Testament abolished the
Sabbath Day. God established the Sabbath Day in Genesis 2:3, and He reminded
His people that they must “observe the sabbath throughout their generations,
for a PERPETUAL covenant.”-Exodus 31:16.
“You can now insult me. And may God bless you as you insult!
