In a clime where political office holders choose to live in opulence as a result of their elevated status, it will then be newsworthy when there is a worthy exception to the act.
This is the case of Umar Baffam, the Executive Chairman of Birniwa Local Government Area of Jigawa State, who prior to his election as the Local Government head was a tailor.
When many expected him to ditch his profession and fully concentrate on governance, the man is seen going about with his craft as a professional tailor and can be seen in his shop dressed modestly doing what he knows how to do best.
Many Nigerians who saw him have described him as one filled with humility.
