Nigerians Attack Davido Over His Allegation Against Nollywood Actresses

 

David Adeleke otherwise known as Davido, a Nigerian International Singer, has been heavily criticized by netizens over his old controversial tweet about Nigerian actresses.

A tweet he made in 2011 accusing Nigerian actresses of advertising their bodies in movies for the patronage of wealthy Nigerians, has been dug up.

In the tweet, Davido alleged that Nollywood actresses make more money from sleeping with wealthy men than they earn from acting movies.

Davido's old tweet reads: "Nollywood is just a way 4 these actresses 2 advertise their goodies 2 rich men… dey makes more moni banging than acting. Fact."

Despite the tweet being more than a decade old, many people accuse the Nigerian music superstar of being cynical of Nollywood actresses. Some who are critical of the old tweet, warned him about generalization.
