 The nation was thrown into mourning yesterday as a popular singer, Mrs. Osinachi Nwachukwu was confirmed dead.

The sonorous singer who gained prominence after her chorus in the hit song, ‘Ekwueme’,a song she starred alongside Prospa Ochimana, died on Friday night in an Abuja hospital.

Even though the family has not released the official cause of death, there were unconfirmed reports that she died of cancer.

But a lady with the name, Chidinma Ezeogo has in a shocking revelation asserted that her husband, Mr. Peter Nwachuku is behind her death as he is fond of beating her.

According to her, he hit her hard that some weeks back and she was rushed to the hospital where she stayed on life support before she gave up the ghost. She also alleged that there was a time the husband tied her up and instructed her children to cane her.

Corroborating Chidinma’s claim, a lady with the name Evangelist Betty John, said the late singer told her personally how bad her husband has been treating her.
