Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan was reported involved in a fatal accident. The ex-President was on his way from the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja when the incident happened.
Reports have it that two of his aides died in the accident while the ex-President escaped unhurt.
In a statement released by Ikechukwu Eze, the special assistant to Goodluck Ebele Jonathan on media and Publicity, he stated that the ex-President is pained by the death of two of his aides and wishes them eternal rest.
The office of the former president has offered condolences to the families of the bereaved and the Police High Command.
“Dr. Jonathan prayed God to grant the souls of the departed eternal rest and bless their families and the nation with the fortitude to bear the loss”, Eze said.
