The Exola Tv understands that the equipment of the Video Assistant Referee deployed in the world cup playoff match between Nigeria and Ghana, have been declared missing.

The match which held in Moshood Abiola stadium, Abuja on the 29th of March was to qualify Nigeria to Quarter 2022; understandably the over 100, 000 Nigeria supporters that turned up to spur the Super Eagles of Nigeria to Quarter.

However, the super eagles inability to record a goal in Kumasi in the first leg of the playoff haunted them as much as Thomas Partey's eleventh minute low strike which put the Black Stars of Ghana ahead.

A foul on Ademola Lookman in the Ghanian eighteen box adjourned a penalty by video assistance referee, which the super eagles captain, Troos Ekong converted in a beautiful fashion, was not enough for the super eagles to pip the black stars to Quarter who qualified at the expense of Nigeria with an away goal advantage.

The uproar that followed the end of the match was characteristic of football loving Nigerians who needed the super eagles to lighten their mood after a deadly terror attack on Kaduna-bound train.

The unhappy fans inadvertently invaded the pitch as the security officers grappled to contain the worrisome development which resulted in destruction of facilities in the stadium with the VAR equipment reportedly stolen.
