Popular Afrobeat musician, Ayodeji Balogun, more known as Wizkid got nominated in two categories in the just concluded Grammy Awards by the Recording Academy and surprisingly did not win in the two categories.
This elicited diverse reactions on the social media space with many of the fans berating the organizers of the show for making him lose out.

Netizens have now dug out a 2015 old tweet of the ‘Essence’ croner where he stated that he doesn’t care about awards.
In the tweet, Wizkid says he doesn’t post about his award nominations and as he doesn’t care but rather sees it as a bunch of ‘peeps’ putting together a show.
He tweeted,
“I don’t post about nominations or talk about awards cos I don’t really care to be honest. Just a bunch of peeps putting together a show!”.
