Governor Akeredulu Gives Professor Osibanjo Shocking Answer Over Presidential Bid Support

 

Vice President Yemi Osibanjo visited Oyo state on the 25th of April, 2022, to seek support for his 2023 presidential bid.

The vice president was received by the Ondo State governor and chairman of the Southwest Governors'Forum,  Rotimi Akeredulu.

During their deliberation, the vice president sought the support of the Ondo State Government for his presidential aspiration. Vice President Yemi Osibanjo described his ambition as an opportunity to serve Nigerians. According to him, it will amount to betrayal if he refused to vie for the position of the president in the interest of the people.

However, while speaking,  Governor Akeredulu informed the vice president that only God gives position and true support. He was obviously evasive of vice president Yemi Osibanjo's sought for his support.

Other dignitaries present at the Cocoa Conference Hall include: members of the House of Assembly led by the Speaker, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun; the State Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) led by the Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin; members of the State Executive Council led by the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu, among other APC leaders.
