The Lagos State Police command has arrested an horticulturist, with the name Emmanuel Okolie, for assaulting his wife and throwing her down from a one-storey building in Lagos.
A lady identified as Mofe is currently receiving treatment in a Lagos hospital after she was allegedly thrown down by her husband, from the one-storey building.
According to reports, the incident happened on Wednesday, April 13 at their residence in Alimi Oke street, Oshodi, Lagos.
In the account of an eyewitness, the husband while returning from work was kept waiting by his wife, prompting his displeasure with Mofe, who he accused of keeping him locked outside for a while.
The eyewitness further noted that on that fateful day, Mofe’s ‘offence’ was that she kept him waiting outside for long before opening the door to let him in.
An argument ensued in the process, and he started pouncing on her in his usual manner, going further to push her down from their apartment and she landed on the ground.
It was gathered that Mofe stood after falling down and proceeded to destroy his car windscreen.
She was then invited to the police station where she collapsed and was rushed to the hospital.
The medical personnel at the hospital said a full body X-ray will be carried out on her to ascertain if she’s suffering from internal bleeding as a result of the fall.
