Watch As Former Governor Willie Willi Is "Chilling" In EFCC Custody

 

A video of the immediate past governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano in EFCC Custody, has gone viral.

Nigerian activist, Adeyanju Deji has shared the video of former governor Obiano in EFCC Custody. Mr. Obiano was filmed drinking from a bottle of water. The activist shared the video on his Facebook page with the caption: Ex governor of Anambra State in EFCC Custody. When you are in power, be careful.

Recall that Willie Obiano who on March 17th, handed over the reign of the state to Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo,was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) on same day.

Mr. Willie Obiano had arrived Lagos immediately after the swear in ceremony of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo in Anambra. He was reported to have arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Lagos around 8:30pm where he was to take a flight to the United States of America before his eventual arrest.

Mr. Obiano had been on the watchlist of the EFCC over alleged financial crimes during his governorship administration. EFCC is reported to have informed the Comptroller General of the Nigeria Immigration Service on November 15, 2021, to inform the Commission when Mr. Willie is traveling out of the country.

Mr. Willie whose immunity ended on the 17tu of March, was arrested by the agents of the Commission on his way to the United States of America.

Mr. Willie is accused of misappropriation of funds which includes inflating the cost of the newly constructed Umueri International Airport.Watch Video Here
