A Nigerian football player has lost his life during a football match in Obosi, Anambra State. The footballer identified simply as Afam died after he slumped during a football match between his team and another local football club.
One Chukwuneke Ugochukwu Bishop had broken the news on Facebook, saying the incident happened on Monday, February 21, in a match between Iwene Tansi FC and another local football club at Odum Layout.

According to Ugochukwu, the deceased player slumped during the group match and was rushed to a hospital where he was confirmed dead.
