A video has emerged of a man from Kano State who said he has been tendering and feeding lions for the semi-centennial period.
In the Video made
available to Exola TV from BBC Yoruba, the man named Malam Abba Gandu said he
has been feeding the big cats for the past 50 years.

He averred that the
animals are part of him as their welfare is tantamount to his.
In his words:
"If the animal dey sick, meself dey feel sick"
Malam Gandu has been on this job since the zoo was commissioned in 1971.
