It is no news that the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheeed Akanbi got married to Firdaus Abdullahi, a Kano Princess and the granddaughter of later Emir of Kano, Ado Bayero.
But prior to the nuptial knot, he had been married to a Canadian, Chanel Chin, the daughter of Jamaican reggae star, Ludlow Chin popularly known as “Bobo Zaro but they parted in 2019 ways over differences that appeared irreconcilable.
The Oluwo estranged wife has now responded to the Oluwo’s new marriage by sharing a cryptic post on her Instagram stories that appeared to throw subtle shades at the traditional ruler.
The mother of one wrote:
"Abusers don't change. They only change victims" Chanel commented on a quote that reads "Men don't get counseling. They get a new woman that don't know how they be lying"
"Knowing the tea but letting ppl flex in peace" she captioned another post.
Chanel also shared a book titled 'Her courage was her Crown' and wrote: "Survivor"
