Wahala: Police Give Funny Reason For Arresting And Detaining A Female Student Of MAPOLY Who Bought A Pregnancy Test Kit
A twitter user, Olukoya Oluwatosin has called out for help after her sister, Olanipekun Oladayo Irenimofe, a student of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY) was allegedly arrested by the police for buying pregnancy test strips and contraceptives in the Abeokuta, Ogun State.
According to Oluwatosin who claims that the the victim is her sister, the victim was arrested and detained by the police in Abeokuta. Later she was charged to the state police headquarters in Elewa Eran.
Referring to her post on twitter containing the photo of the victim in police custody, she wrote:
“My sister a student of Mapoly just got arrested for going to buy postpill and pregnancy strip. She’s at police post Abeokuta. Please help me oooo this police thing don reach my side… I’d not know who else to contact".
She further stated “Please RT if you can see this ejoor ooooo they just collected her phone now while was speaking with her . Her name is Olanipekun Oladayo Irenimofe. Update ! She’s getting charged to elewe eran please help my life ejoor”. She wrote
I reaction, the Ogun state police command explained that Olukoya Oluwatosin was questioned by Operatives to know if the items were prescribed by a medical doctor.
