Daniel Ooko Alego was on Tuesday February 8, charged before a Makadara Law Court in Kenya for allegedly robbing his neighbor over the latter's refusal to accommodate him.
Daniel arraigned together with two others allegedly broke into Samuel Mutahi’s house, stealing his three laptops, phone and money.

According to Mutahi, the accused and two other were captured on CCTV camera as they broke into his house.
Mutahi, When he appeared at the first hearing before Makadara Senior Resident magistrate M. Malingu, told the court that Alego committed the offence on August 16, 2021, at Clay City in Kasarani, Sub-County.
He accused Daniel of stealing his electronics and cash all amounting to Ksh135,600.
He further claimed the theft occurred after he left his house with his wife.
In his words:
“I came back at around 9:00 pm and found the door broken and the items were stolen. The following morning, I went to ask for help from the caretaker who reviewed the CCTV footage.
“That was when we saw Alego and the other two; a woman and a man committing the crime."
Mutahi further disclosed that Alego once approached him to sleep in his house, but he was not comfortable with the request.
He added;
“He asked me to allow him to sleep in my house because he had lost his job and he did not have money to afford better accommodation, but I could not allow him.”
